The Philippine Coast Guard, in cooperation with SuperFerry, low cost provider of passenger sea travel, released tips for sea travelers leaving Manila this coming Holy Week.
“SuperFerry values the safety and security of its passengers, and is cooperating with government to make sure that our terminals and vessels stay safe and secure during this peak travel period for the benefit of our riding public. We continously support the government's holy week campaign and is adequately supported by the Task Force Sea Marshall under the command of the Philippine Coast Guard, the PNP Maritime Group, the Philippine Ports Authority, and the Maritime Industry Authority,” said Aboitiz Transport System VP for Safety & Security Jess Supan.
Supan said passengers should be at the pier at least 4 to 6 hours before time of departure so the boarding experience is more relaxed; deal only with authorized company representatives who can be identified through their IDs and uniforms; keep yourself hydrated by drinking water when travelling; bags should be properly packed and sealed; and avoid bringing flammable liquids and solids, corrosive materials, toxic and infectious substances, compressed gases, radioactive materials and explosives.
For passengers requiring medical attention, please secure complete set of medical certificates and call our hotline 24 hours before departure. Bring required medicines for those under medication or treatment during travelling.
Passengers are advised to arrange porterage assistance only at designated counter in the baggage handling area; and are reminded that free baggage allowance for personal items only is up to 50kilos.
With the upcoming holiday season, SuperFerry makes travelling affordable and flexible with the Todo Todo Sail Sale promo.
A ticket from Manila to Visayas sells for P588; while a ticket from Manila to Mindanao sells for P888.
The buying period is from March 15-17.
The sailing period is from April 1 -4.
Fares are inclusive of fuel surcharge, security fee and 12% VAT.
"We encourage our passengers to avail this promo so they can go home and be with their family and friends during the holy week break. After all charges are paid, SuperFerry fares remain substantially lower than other alternatives. Book your trips early to enjoy bigger savings," added Supan.
Tickets can be delivered right at your doorstep when you book through SuperFerry hotline. SuperFerry ticket delivery is available in Metro Manila and selected areas in Luzon.
